Emily grew up in Dansville, MI where she learned her love of agriculture through her involvement in FFA, 4-H, and her family’s small pumpkin farm. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in crop and soil sciences from Michigan State University in 2016 where she also worked on the MSU field crop research farm along with completing several internships. She then worked with alfalfa breeding in the Pacific Northwest for a year but came back to her Michigan roots where her career took her through sales roles at Michigan Agricultural Commodities and most recently, DF Seeds. She has enjoyed her time in sales and the relationships it has helped her build, and she is excited to be a part of the team at Michigan Corn. When she is not in the field, she can be found serving on her county Farm Bureau board, enjoying Michigan’s natural resources, and spending time with her family and her dog, Alfie.
