COVID-19 Resources

On March 23, Governor Whitmer today announced a Stay Home, Stay Safe order to stop the spread of coronavirus. The order will remain in effect through April 13.

At this time, Michigan’s farmers will continue to be able to operate as normal. The Governor’s order allows for critical infrastructure workers (including those in food and agriculture) to continue working. The Governor’s order defines critical infrastructure workers as those described by the Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in his guidance of March 19, 2020 on the COVID-19 response. You can see the list of workers included in this designation here.

It is recommended that employees of these types of businesses be provided with a letter to carry with them. We’ve provided a template letter that can be accessed by clicking here. Companies can edit this letter as appropriate to include letterhead, contact information and a more specific description of your company and function.
