Michigan Corn Growers Association President Matt Frostic today thanked Michigan’s members of the U.S. House of Representatives for their bipartisan approval of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Frostic made the following statement:

“Passage of USMCA has been a top priority for Michigan farmers for the past year, and our members have been working hard to communicate the importance of this agreement to our members of Congress. We are proud to see these efforts pay off with a strong, bipartisan vote.

“Mexico and Canada are our closest trading partners and top markets for U.S. corn and ethanol. Passage of USMCA will provide important stability in those markets which will be good for our industry’s future. We thank our farmers for speaking up and our members of the House for voting in support of this important agreement. We hope the U.S. Senate will act quickly to pass the USMCA in the new year.”
