2026 State Policy Priorities

The purpose of these policy priorities is to provide organizational focus and align membership and staff time and resources. The list is not intended to be exhaustive of all policy areas of interest to the organization and will be updated annually by the Board of Directors.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Support incentives for the development of sustainable aviation fuel production and blending, with an emphasis on biomass-based feedstocks.

Ethanol Fuel

Support incentives to increase ethanol consumption with the allowance of higher-level automotive fuel blends in the state.

MAEAP Enhancements

Support enhancements to the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program, including voluntary certification of farmers' carbon intensity.

Research Funding

Support the continuation of state funding of research priorities of the corn industry and necessary programs for production and marketing administered by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
