The Michigan Corn Growers Association (MCGA) today applauded Reps. Mike Flood (NE-01), Sharice Davids (KS-03), Troy Carter (LA-02), and Tracey Mann (KS-01) for introducing bipartisan legislation to strengthen Section 45Z and provide long-term certainty for America’s farmers and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producers. The Securing America’s Fuels Act restores the full value of the credit for SAF and extends the entire 45Z tax credit through 2033.
“Extending the 45Z tax credit and restoring it to its full value will set the stage for a strong, American-grown sustainable aviation fuel market and open new opportunities for Michigan’s corn farmers,” said John Delmotte, President of MCGA. “We urge Congress to pass this legislation to strengthen rural economies, create new markets for Michigan farmers, and advance America’s energy future.”
